Post How Mac is better then Windows

Mac OS is based on Linux kernel, so effect of virus is much less then Windows. So Mac OS does not need any antivirus. Where as Windows will not struggle against virus.

i personally think windows is better overall cause of the broader range of applications that are being made for windows
many of the bigger application developers can afford to make both versions 1 for mac and 1 for PC but the little guys struggle to get 2 versions out there,
if apple had sold OEM licenses to start with like Microsoft do then i think they would of got the better market share

I would have to agree that windows has a broader range of applications and there are a lot more options with windows. Which is why I think even with the growing Mac users base, they still opted to give windows support to probably gain more customers to invest on their machines.

I have used a Macbook pro for quite a long time and navigation has been really easy. What I liked about it is that it is a safer environment, or at least when I was still it.

I have used a Windows system running on an i5 hardware and it was fast enough. But the speed is comparable with a snow leopard running on a core2duo. I tried compiling the same code on an IDE and the difference was not that big. The program was even designed to maximize threads and with 2 threads less, the Mac was able to keep up with it.

I think that there are just a lot of auxiliary processes windows is running, making it slow.
