    Post anyone started trying out HTML 5

    hi

    has anyone tried this brand new standard
    I'm eager to implement it very soon
    especially the video script
    HTML Code:
    <video. src="movie.webm" controls>
    This is fallback text to display if the browser
    does not support the video element.
    </video>
    down with flashplayer rofl

    HTML5 in my opinion will have a serious uphill battle to displace Flash - Aside from the aesthetic value, its ability to transcend the difference in browser's interpretation of code is of enormous value to developers and users.

    I'm hoping to learn HTML 4 first and then maybe HTML 5. I heard that HTML 5 is supposed to be the standard for mobile browsing at some point, especially for multimedia usage.

    I realize now I'm a little bit behind the times. I thought HTML was the newest version of this coding language. I guess I was wrong. I wish I could keep up better with what's going on in the Internet design world. I'm a bit overwhelmed right now.

    I haven't used HTML5 yet, but I intend to learn soon. I'm predicting in a few years it will become the norm. I too am surprised, though. HTML4 is not even that old.
