Traceability depicts the relationship between testing requirements and test cases. Traceability defines mapping between requirements and list of prepared test cases. Hi All,
Traceability :Traceability means that the test conditions should be able to be linked back to the source in the in the test basis. There are two type of traceability i> Horizontal(From test condition through test cases to test scripts)
ii> Vertical (from requirements to components)
The benefits of traceability are i>We can know whether all specifications have been tested
ii>Change in requirement can be easily cope up
iii>When a set of tests fails, we can know what functionality it exercises
Thanks

Hi All,
Traceability:
It means that the test condition should be linked back to the test basis. It is of two types.
Horizontal and vertical.
Horizontal :Horizontal ranges from at all test levels.i.e from test conditions through test cases to test scripts.
Vertical : Vertical traceability ranges from requirements to components.
