    because some say its very easy to hack and breaks down too often..

    Their really isn't any sub for PHPMYADMIN, what problems are you having with it?

    The only down side to phpmyadmin is that I heard when downloading a database backup of a very large forum, it tends to timeout. Some even say that it downloads the entire file, but somewhere along the line it corrupts the file. Personally, I haven't had to use it to restore any databases, but download copies of my databases weekly just in case!

    best thing i've ever used is a program called NaviCat, its about $30 but its really worth it, it works on windows, mac and linux a fantastic program on all accounts
