You can normally get test examples and cases from search engines. Go to www.google.com and just type it in there. The process is pretty much the same and helps you write the procedure. Then you just need to adapt it to whatever you are testing.

Whenever we test web based applications like yahoo there are so many things in our consideration
1) GUI: look&feel, font sizes, foreground color, background color,font , grammer,spellings,allignments nad microsoft 6 rules
2) Cheking the Links : we will check all those links if we click on the link in that page the proper link should open
3) compatability testing : here we try to test compatability of that application by browsing it in different browsers
like
Internet Explorer ver 5.0, Internet Explorer 6.0
Netscape
Aol
Mozilla
and
in differnet versions of Operating systems like windows 95, 98, millenium,NT
4)Security Testing : now here iam discussing few security testings like
User Authentication means Authenticated user only can login by giving his user name and password

this is a Web based Application so we nead to check for the Session times also

we wil check perfomance test also ok

these r the some area we have to focus
i can say thses r some basic things ok

I have a question, when u write test case for a bank application when transfering amount online. how can this be written.

The requirements are:

.Log in to your account
2.Transfer 100 RS
3. Check your balance before and after transfer
4.Log off.

Pls help me in this

here iam giving some brief idea's about netbanking and money tranfer
1)browse the net banking site From where u want to trnafer ur monsy to another account(like ICICI)
2)then login by giving ur valid user id and password
here for this loging u can write Possitive and Negative test cases here apply testing techniques like ECP, boundary value analysis for writing test cases
3) if u r trying to transfer Rs.100 rupees to another account , first it has to check for ur balance is >100.
if balance is >100 it should allow to transfer else it should say insufficient balnce to tranfer ok
4)after transfering the amount it should update ur account with ur new balnce means deducting the tranfered amount ok ok

5)some other things are also in consideration for net banking transering the amout if ur tranfering the amount to same bank it is free else if ur transfering the amout to another bank account it will charge some amount ok taking this as a consideration prepare some test cases also ok na
6) Then click on logout button
it should logout success fully ok
after loggingout u navigate back on internet explorer to open previous page by cliking on the back button on internet explorer tool bar
it should not open any page that u have used
it shoud say like the sesion is over u have to relogin again or like any think ok n a

these r some idea's iam giving for u to write test cases
