Uploadig files using FTP

Hi All,
I have developed a web site using ASP.NET, I took .aspx extension pages to do the programming, we have FTP permissions to upload the file, but when I upload the whole folder using FTP, I am getting SERVER '/' Application error,but if I take HTML page (while adding new item, instead of taking WebForm I took HTML Page,)I am not getting any error while uploding.I am unable to resolve the problem...can any one help me.
