Flat file DB

anyone found any performance increase in just using a flat file database structure instead of something like mysql

I think though the flat file would help much in editing it cannot handle things like referential integrity which is there in relational database tables.I dont think there is any performance increase in using flat file structure.BUt its a interesting question you have triggered. Let's see what results we get in this discussion.
