What is this Term
What is UUCP in UNIX. I came across this in a book but could not get much details on this.Idea provided on this would be appreciated.

UUCP stands for Unix to Unix Copy Program and sometimes also refers to Unix to Unix Copy Protocol. This refers to the ability of UNIX and Linux operating systems to transferring files and executing programs remotely.

Good thread. I came to know a new term UUCP by this thread. I want to try running UUCP under UNIX or Linux operating system. Can you provide guidelines for me in doing this.

Most UNIX variants include some level of UUCP implementation: either BNU UUCP (HoneyDanBer), BSD/OS UUCP (BSD 4.3 Version 2), or Taylor UUCP. If you do not have a UUCP implementation let me know I will provide links for reference on the same.
