Is it possible to get the cost of the item from the past due date?

Dear Gurus,

Is it possible to get the Unit Cost of the item from the past due date? We need to develop a report, which should give the unit cost of the item for the any given date. Is it possible?

Here we can find the Historical Cost for Average, LIFO and FIFO costing organization.
