Action Based Testing also known as ABT in short is a structured methodology that underlies automated software testing that can help ISVs and other software developers speed their products time-to-market—without sacrificing quality.

Action Based Testing is also known as ABT. Here Action means tasks to be executed in a test. Here rather than automating the whole long test process, only the actions are automated as individual building blocks. As a result of this the business analysts and non-technical engineers can easily execute there tests without adding anything to the automation code.
