I and my friend was working with assemblies in .NET and my friend made a reference to a term named as side by side execution with respect to assemblies. What does this actually mean? I could not get any idea or information about this. Can someone help me to know about this?

Side by side execution with respect to assemblies remarked by your friend refers to the capability of running different versions of the same assembly at the same time.
