Hi deepak,
I am also a new comer to the testing stream.these are the steps in which you must follow to get success in this stream.

1) First join testing tools in any institute,learn manual and automation testing well,concentrate on mainly manual and qtp testing.byhard all the testing terms.

2) Incase if there is a chance to do project in testing in that institute do it because you cant find any practise in testing anywhere. Doing project in that institute will help you.

3) Then attend for interviews.
4) Do certification in testing which will be a plus point.
