Difference between revaluation and translation in Oracle general Ledger

revaluation:- it is conversion of foregin currency into functional currency
it always down at month end
the final result of revaluation is recovered in unreleased gain/loss account
translation:-it is conversion of functional currency balance into foreign currency balances.
this shuld be run after revalution is run
this is month end reporting features
