    Thumbs up installation testing

    Hi Guy's,

This is my 1st post to exforsys.
Do any team member have any idea about multiple test scenario difference between Application installation testing and windows operating system installation testing.
Try to avoid the layer of action and similarity. My query is for multiple installation testing scenario for both (App & OS).

If any one following any installation testing checklist then that will be great.

    Thanks,
    Patra

    Hi,

In installation testing we will test whether it is one click deployment or not?

Then while installing it'll create some temporary folders
after installing it is deleting the temporary folders or not

how much time its taking for the installation

and how much memory it'll take

these are the just high level scenarios

hope this will help u a bit

    Regards,
    Bharath

An operating system (OS) is software that acts as an interface between you and the hardware. It not only contains drivers used to speak the hardware's language, but also offers you a very specific graphical user interface (GUI) to control the computer. An OS can also act as an interface (from the hardware) to the other software. A complex OS like Windows or Linux or Mac OS offers the services of an OS, but also has applications built in. Solitaire, Paint, Messenger, etc. are all applications.

As others have said, an application is software that serves a specific function. It allows you to communicate, create and modify documents, play games, etc.
