    Hi,

If u r new to the company means when u join the company first they will prefer to write the test cases in excel sheet. excel sheet contains Sl.no,Description,Expected Results.

    sl.no: step no
    Description: description of the filed
    Expected results:Expected results

and U can directly wirte the test cases in the Test Director also:-->above same fields are avaliable in the TD also

As narenB already said if you have the choice between Word and Excel go for Excel as an Excel sheet offers a whole lot more possibilities.
