Hello Robin, Did you follow the installation instructions, if so could you post in brief... we have tested many time and most of the users are able to use the program..

If you could post few details and a screenshot explaining where you are getting , we can help...

Thanks,

program does not run

I dont know how to insert an image so i give you the exact messages from the two screens:

After I
1) installed the Base package
2) the EFS-310-051 package
3) Select the [AFS-310-051] subdir
4) Hit the [Update] button

I receive a window :

[Microsoft][ODBC Text driver]Too few parameters, expected 1

Then i click [OK] and i get a window:

Run-time-error '-2147217904(8004e10)':
Automation error

Note:
I tried to run this program on two different computers (a PC and laptop) with
the same result.
On both machines i have Windows-XP
Also on both machines i have some ODBC driver from Borland

Hello Robin,

could you download the package again, uninstall the one on your pc and install again. We have updated the package 2 days ago.

Let me know how it goes...

Thanks,

jeremyshu,

Though your error seem pretty much similar to that of robin, the cause is certainly different.

In all probability you might be running EFSTest twice.
You may need to close all the programs (may even reboot the pc).

If not, can you please check the folder attributes for "EFSTest" and that of EFSTest.ini file.
These folder and file should NOT have the "READ ONLY" option ticked.

Kindly let us know the issue status...
Thanks,

Wow, thanks for the fast reply, lokeshm.

I haved tried the ways that you suggested, but still getting the error.

1st method you suggested
I have reboot the system, and look at the ESTest folder and make sure that has NO read only access applied. Also, there is no ESTest.ini yet. I assume because I have not successfully added the test.

2nd method you suggested
The Microsoft page that you referred me to I have already seen it, and still no success. That article is for the ODBC access driver, but as my error it is ODBC text driver. Most of the solutions suggested on there are for calling the driver from ASP with IIS.

I was wondering if you know how to code that ESTest.ini, I assume when you load the test, it will be added to the ESTest.ini. Therefore, if I could just generate that by hand, maybe I can start using this program.

thanks,

Jeremy

Hi Jeremyshu

Thanks for your update...
EFSTest.ini cannot be edited manually.
Can you provide me some essential information
1. Your Operating System
2. Drives / Partitions
3. Whether Text Driver is installed on your PC
4. Location of EFSTest
5. Location of EFS-310-051
6. Dir listing of EFSTest
7. Dir listing of EFS-310-051

Are you providing any password while your operating system starts
I hope I am not asking you too much.
I will try to send you a customised EFSTest.ini with the above information.
Thanks,
