Restricted Shell
I have a very basic knowledge in shells in UNIX. I came across something called as restricted shell. What is this. Is this a type of shell. What is the usage of this shell.

By using the restricted shell in UNIX operating system the users can perform only activities that are run only certain programs.

One of the instances of usage of restricted shell could be if a site must all only limited users then restricted shell takes its presence. Let wait to hear some more usages from others.
