PR Application with Job Offer

Hello there!

I understand that Canadian PR applications processed in Malaysia would take approximately 24-36 months for processing.

Also, in our Skilled Workers PR application we are awarded 10 points if we have "Arranged Employment" (an HRDC approved).

My question is this:

1) Will employers be willing to give you a job offer and then wait 24-36
months before they know if you'll actually be coming to Canada?

2) Is there something I have misunderstood with regard to the "10 points
Arranged Employment"?
