I recently came across a term named as physical database and logical database.I wanted to know the difference between the two?

In a logical database design requirements are gathered and different types of diagrams like entity relationship diagram, process flow diagram and so on are produced from the requirements gathered. The actual implementation using the logical database designed is made in the physical database design. This tells us that physical database is the actual database and logical database is the conceptual model of physical database.
