I recently attended an Interview for business analyst position and I was questioned about to state the difference between business process improvement and business process reengineering? Can someone give a detailed answer on this?

The simplest difference is that As an improvement we need to find the loop holes and try to block those in existing proce, where as in re-engineering we need to design the whole process to suit the current requirement of Org/ client
