Angry What could be the problem?

hello,
My laptop has xp s/p2. recently it has developed a problem, the enter key does not work in word document or any ms application like Publisher,IE, but the same enter key works perfectly in other programs such as Mozila, Thunderstorm. I have re-install the window and office 2003 but it did not solve the problem. Also CNTL+ALT+DEL does not work it does not open task panel. Could any one tel me how to solve this problem? Please help me.Thanks
