FTP - using Perl - from Linux to Window system

I was trying to move an excel file from Linux box to Window system, using Perl script.

Please note that, this excel file has some macro code in it.

The problem is that, after doing FTP, when I try to open the file in window system, I am getting an error message "Cell formula".

I thought that, the reason could be the mode used (Binary, ASCII). When I do FTP from window command prompt with ASCII mode, I am not getting any error message while opening the excel file. But, when I set the mode as ASCII in Perl, its does not make any different.

Please let me know what need to be done to avoid this error message.
