Which To Choose Mapping Or Database

hi friends

recently i joined in one organization.They are having excellent mapping factory.Its an US based company operating in India.If was i asked to choose between mapping and database side which can i opt for Navy.I have to tell my choice in one or two days so can any one please help me out.Waiting for your valuable suggestions

Reply to what mapping means

mapping is to map the EDI data into application data and vice-versa.There are lot many tools in the market.For ex:Mercator,websphere from IBM etc.

sanereddy is an unknown quantity at this point
How confident are you on the database side... ?....

if you are good enough, go for the database side... if not start with mapping and try to get on to database side...
