Reg MBA Options in US or any premier School

Hello Everyone:

What will be the financial options available if we want to go for an MBA from a Top B School in US?? Becoz almost all schools require u to spend around 50 Lakhs to complete an MBA.

Where ever I checked I found options are brighter for US residents. How will it be for International students??

Any one plz clarify??

(Here I am looking for premier B-Schools which are among Top 20 in the world)

Hi,

Most of the MBA programs here in US are intended for the people who are already in jobs seeking promotions or who are in a managerial position but dont have a degree. There are very few entry level positions for MBA\'s. Even if you find a position, it is very difficult to have them sponsor your visa and permanent residency. The only bright option for any indian student who is doing his or her MBA is to get an internship while at school which provides them the minimum work experience and a degree which might help them land in a job.

If i were you i would first get into a job(Software,sales,finance etc..) in US and then think of getting a MBA degree from Top B-School. This way you will have the money to fund yourself and the necessary experience you need to have a career in Management.

P.S:- This is my personal opinion. Do what you think is best for you...

Sorry I havent given my details. I am having 2+ years of exp and looking for an MBA probably at 4 years exp level. I am bothered abt finanical options since it will cost anywhere around 25-50 Lakhs to do it. But I am very interested in it. Any other ways of getting Fin Aid?

Hi,
Do you have work experience from india or US?
Did you take ur GMAT exam?
If you have a good score in GMAT, compile a list of schools where you have a better probability of getting an admission based on your score and your academic % or GPA. Then go to their website and look for some professors and email them stating your priorities. Keep following up with the prof\'s even if they dont get back to you.(But dont irritate them with long emails, just put it short). You should have luck doing this way if you dont give up.
