career advice

respected sir,

my friend is doing his post-graduation in IIT Delhi. presently he is in first year, recently he gat job in HAL, Bangalore. but he was interested in TCS. Basically he is from mechanical background.and he is not interested in discontinuing his Mtech..
he need one confirmation, i.e.. after getting into TCS, whether they r sending every one to U.S or any other country. depending on the answer for this query his life is dependent. because he is need of money. his dream is to go for U.S. and he came to know that , the employees of TCS r being send to U.S. Upto what extent this statement is true.

through on campus he can clear tcs , i am confident about it

please confirm it as early as possible, i.e on or before 25oct

Re:career advice

Hi,

If he wants to come to USA thru TCS:-
First step is getting a job in TCS.
Once he got the job in TCS, then with in one year period they will send to USA.
From TCS Chennai office, so many people will get the chance to go to USA, but not guaranteed.
Chennai office employess have better chances when compare to bangalore, hyd, mumbai etc.

TCS is not only the option for coming to USA.
One year work experience is enough to apply for the jobs in USA.

My suggestion is:
Dont worry whether the company is TCS or something else.
He has to land in a good job soon. Once he completes one year work exp, then he can directly apply for jobs in USA.
