Hi there

I have newly installed Informatica on my Windows and i know that there can be a number of reasons for the service getting stopped. Try checking your Windows Event Viewer and track down the error.

Thanks
Pria

Informatica and ab-intio are ETL tools and knowing one of them will get you a job!

cognos, Business objects and Reportnet are front end reporting tool. Again knowing cognos or Business objects will get you a job but each one has multiple modules.

Erwin is for modelling databases.

If your institute is going to teach you all, good but try to concentrate on either front end or backend (etl).

go for AbInitio and Oracle Database and data warehousing training... Very good combination and it's really hot in the market and will be for next 10 years.
