Oracle Database Upgradation

I have Oracle 9i installed on Windows XP. Also a database is configured in which we created tablespaces. Now I have to upgrade tht database to Oracle 10g. Should I uninstall Oracle9i before installing Oracle 10g.

Kindly, help me in this regard. Thanks in advance

Vinnie
