This is because the L3 engineer is supposed to know the ENTIRE product source code and the Entire technology. He would get bugs into any areas . In IBM, Senior developers who have enough development experience with the product move to L3 because they feel they get more variety there than being a developer for a particular module or section. Also, L3 needs perfection. All defects fixed go to customer immediately, and they have to be of high quality. There are strict timelines to be followed so you have to be faster.the candidate needs to learn a lot into smart ways of debugging complex software source code problems Test Engineer(2-4yrs) (MCS, MCA, BE) (Vacancy Code - 20746) - Strong product testing exposure on the IBM product called IBM Tivoli Identity Manager. i.e. ITIM - Must be able to creatively think and develop good test cases. Exposure to automation or automation tools is a must - Must have hands on experience on multiple flavors of Unix Test Engineer(2-4yrs) (MCS, MCA, BE) (Vacancy Code - 20746) -Strong product testing exposure. Strong on C or Perl or Shell or any scripting language - Must be able to creatively think and develop good test cases. Exposure to automation or automation tools is a must - Must have hands on experience on multiple flavors of Linux. - Any exposure to LDAP ( Directory Server) would be added advantage. Test Engineer(2-4yrs) (MCS, MCA, BE) (Vacancy Code - 20746) - Strong product testing exposure. - Must have good networking basics, concepts. - Must be able to creatively think and develop good test cases. Exposure to automation or automation tools is a must - Must have hands on experience on multiple flavors of Unix. - Its desirable to have shell or perl scripting knowledge, but not a must for these openings. - Any exposure to Tivoli Access Manager or any security product would be added advantage. Build Engineer(2-4yrs) (MCS, MCA, BE) (Vacancy Code - 20746)- Product build experience. Exposure to build tools, compilers, source code config control etc is must - Must be skilled on multiple flavors of unix and windows. - In case you find a good profile but not ready to accept contract position, pls send and we would take it case to case basis. Release Manager (6-10 yrs)/ (MCS, MCA, BE, MTech, ME) (Vacancy Code - 43976) - Strong technical experience in c/unix/product development environment and must be passionate about technology. Candidate would be responsible to the release test team management. Would be expected to be strong technically and guide a test team of size 20. - Strong project management experience preferably in a product development environment. Must have proven people management experience. - Candidate would be responsible for all the release activities and would have to manage deliverables of a team of size 15 to 20. - The candidate is expected to be strong technically too. Expected to have expertise in test deliverables with products on unix platforms. Expected to have spear headed automation activities. - Strong experience in people management. Must have very good motivational and team building skills.
