I purchased really good quality web hosting for my business because I needed the uptime, features extra domain names and so forth. Still get it pretty cheap $9.95 a month with 99.9% uptime, instant support and so on. Because I have all this spare space though, I've created sub domains and allowed many of my customers to host their websites on them for almost nothing ($1.00 a month). Then they too get the great service, uptime, speed and quality of hosting for next to nothing. It works out pretty well for all of us, others could do this too.
