Project Title: Student Administration

Objective: The main objective of this project is to computerize the student administration details in Pentasoft, a computer training organization at Kakinada.

Description: This project is done using files and classes concept in C++. The project consists of different classes viz., list of courses, student enquiry, admission, fee details, course completion certificates, office records and separate files are created for each class. An object is created for each class in the main program, calling which the above-mentioned tasks can be performed.



2. Client: Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited, Kakinada.

Duration: Dec’03 –March ‘04
Project: Design of shell and tube heat exchanger
Team Size: Four
Role: Project Leader

Objective: In preparation of some of the fertilizers like Urea, separation of Ammonia from mixture of Nitrogen, Hydrogen and Ammonia is essential. NFCL, in its plant-2, is using EE504 model of Heat Exchanger for this purpose. The objective of this project is to verify the design of the Heat Exchanger and to rectify some of the existing errors in the design.

Project Description: This project is done as a part of B.Tech course curriculum in the final semester. My contribution to this project is verification of thermal design and a part of mechanical design of the Heat Exchanger. The design is done based on Empirical relations given in ASME codes and TEMA standards and the requirement projections, and we found that EE504 Heat Exchanger satisfies the existing parameters. There is a problem of leakage of ammonia gas in to the cooling water in EE504.The possible reasons for occurrence of this problem are investigated and we found that this is because of insufficient weld strength at the tube-to-tube sheet joining. So, we have rectified the problem by providing sufficient weld strength.



Technical Paper Presentation

Title: Design of Artificial Therapeutic Limbs
Venue: ISTE Students Chapter at CBIT Hyderabad

Description: This paper is presented in the Navachaitanya festival held by ISTE students’ chapter of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology in Hyderabad during 11th-13th March 2003. This paper deals with design of artificial limbs for arm and leg amputees. This design is based on four bar and six bar linkages. The paper was awarded second prize in the technical session, mechanical division among about 20 participants from various engineering colleges throughout the state.










Achievements


1. Academic: Secured 76% in B.Tech. And stood 3rd in the department, 89 % in Intermediate, and 83 % in SSC and stood among the top five throughout the educational career.

2. Secured 2nd prize in technical paper presentation at C.B.I.T, Hyderabad.
