Call center Requirement.

I want to work in a call center. I would like to know that what is the minimum requirement for a average person to get a Job in a International Call Center. I would even like to know if to work as Tech Support what would be the minimum qualification.

working for a call center requires that you have above-average to excellent english (or whatever language the employers prefer) communication skills..

tech support on the other hand requires that you have extensive information about the product/service that you want to tech support into..

OK i have both the things which u mentioned. I guess my spoken English is quiet well and i am also good in computers but my problem is that i am an undergraduate. Are there any Call centers or BPO who take Undergrads.

Yes, there are plenty of call centers that accept under-grads. Most of them just ask for 12th (HSC) passed students, so its quite easy to grab a job in one.

yup.. being an undergraduate is not a problem.. most of them only require above average communication skills and the wilingness to work in shifts..

do not worry about the accents, product information and diction since all of thes e cana be learned..

In the Phils., the major requirements in order to become a call center agent are as follows:
* fluent english communication skills
* good typing skills
* good listening skills
* at least college level
* must pass their exams (written/IQ, computers) and interviews
If you are in the sales dept., then you must prove that you know how to sell.
And if in the technical, must assure extensive knowledge in troubleshooting
and must have computer education
