Re:About H1 visa approval

hi sreekumar,

once u got papers u can go for stamping.
it doesnot matter even if ur previous student visa got rejected.
unless and until ur prev. H1 is not rejected it is fine.
for eg, if ur student visa rejects before, if u apply again for student visa there are chances of rejection again.

in ur case, now u r going for H1 stamping. so no problem in getting a visa.
if ur employer provides complete documentation, and payslips of ur present company in india, u will get the visa.

right now the situation is like this:
h1 visas became tight. even the people who are coming on H4, they are asking for some documents.

One year is sufficient to get ur H1 papers approved.
So dont worry.

If ur employer is in a position to clear the queries(if any queries raised by INS during ur H1 approval or H1 stamping) then it will be fine.

Best of Luck.

Re:About H1 visa approval

Hi Sree:
Congratulations on getting your H1B Approval. Please understand that H1B stamping is a critical aspect of the entire journey. Obviously, unless you have stamping, you cannot enter the US. So, try to gain as much information as possible regarding new rules/regulations or changes to law. Visit the Chennai Consulate Website at http://www.usembassy.state.gov/chennai/ so that your information about the process is up to date.

Also, keep in mind that you are not going for a technical interview, so your answers to the following questions will score the highest points:

i. Making sure that all your documents are valid and original
ii. Learning the purpose of your visit, i.e. the officer will ask you the purpose of
the visit! So prepare yourself to answer that question mentally.
iii. Prior criminal records or rejections with respect to obtaining a travel visa to the United States will be taken into account. e.g. Hence, if your visa to UK was rejected, it doesn\'t matter.
iv. They don\'t care about your experience. They are not recruiters. So, your experience does not come into play. However, they will ask you how you gained expertise in that area of your job in the US. At that time, please convey your credentials, i.e. if you have any certifications, job experience etc.

Try to be as truthful as possible, because if they do find out, you can be debarred from entering the US for upto 5 years.

It is important to understand the entire process. Good luck!
