H1B Cap Numbers Low
H1B Cap Numbers Low - The announcement was made at the AILA conference -
According to a USCIS announcement at the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) National Convention, only 16,100 cap subject cases had been filed against the Fiscal Year 2005 cap as of May 31, 2004. This means that there appear to be sufficient remaining cap numbers of the 65,000 quota to last at least beyond the start of the 2005 Fiscal Year on October 1, 2004. Note : Not officially confirmed by Govt. |

Re:H1B Cap Numbers Low
Chava,
To be on safe side, it is better to apply asap. So that we will be on status. We need to maintain status, that is first thing. Then only we can proceed further smoothly. Suppose if Govt. comes with notice saying that quota is completed, it is completely out of our hand, and we will be in trouble. So it is better to apply asap. I guess, the quota may complete with in next 4 to 6 weeks. There is nothing to say that we should file before Jun 30th. But we need to be cautious. So anyway we need to file later. Instead of that, it is better to file asap so that there is no need to analyse the same.
