H1 B stamping at Frankfurt

Hello,
I had an offer from a company in US and they applied for my H1B pettion. Since I cannot enter the country before OCt 1st they told me to join their office in europe and start working. I am here for last 3 months. My question is that Ihave got my H1 B approval. I would like to go to Frankfurt for stamping and that is the same place my attorney wrote in the application form while filing my petition.

I would like to know if I can go ahead and schedule an interview in the Frankfurt or not? OR will I have to go to India for the stamping. I hold a valid residence/work permit in Germany. Is there any way I can call Frankfurt consulate and ask thsi question?

Please do let me know. It is sort of urgent for me.
