You may answer them that you like to go to a greener pasture. You may want to consider some reasons like a company with a better pay, or whatever. There is only one thing that I am reminding though: Never tell bad about your present company, it will boomerang on you.
Hope this helps...

I agree with what helen said! Saying bad things about the present company would only make you look bad also. You have been a part of it and when that company made a bad image, you are part of it.

And appreciating is better than criticizing. The company that you are applying for will have interest in you for they know that you will do the same for them as you did at the last or present company that you are working with.

Here's an answer I used succesfully (meaning I got the job):

* Actually I'd wanted to work with your firm for a number of years, and I kept an eye on suitable positions for someone with my skill set. When a position became available I naturally applied and was delighted to receive this opportunity for an interview. XYZ (name withheld) company has been challenging and I've enjoyed my time there, but this is where I see my future.

If anyone has specific questions they want answer too, or they need help with interview techniques, resume writing and so on; just start a new thread in here (and I'll reply) or look me up at www.jobs.too-write.com where I've just started a forum to provide specific answers to just about any job related questions you might have. I have over ten years in HR and have been consulting for business management positions for a number of years.

Hi Snow,

It's hard to answer that without a bit more information. Like were you doing any extra curricular activities during those times? Changing schools? And so forth.

In fact your marks are relatively consistant. Many people's marks vary more than that over the years.

You could point out that although there is some variation in the marks, overall you have been relatively consistant with good results and positive outcomes. None of them are even close to a failing mark, showing you have a strong grasp of the subject and can apply yourself accordingly.
