I NEED YOUR HELP. IM FINDING DIFFICULTY TO SOLVE A SUM THAT CAME IN 1 OF THE INFY PAPERS.

Mom asked me to buy some postal stamps of 2 paise, 5 paise, 7 paise, 10 paise 15 paise and 20 paise. She gave me total 3.40 rupees for this. Which of these should be multiple of 5 and which of these of 6?

PLZ SOLVE IF U CAN IT WILL BE A GR8 HELP. INFY IS COMING TO MY COLLEGE IN 5 DAYS.

Hi!

This is very Simple all U have to do Check for the last digit while multiplying price of each kind of stamp with 5 & 6 and check their the total hasgot last digit Zero.
Heres the Solution:

2*5=10 2*6=12 IF we are going to have 6 stamps of value 2 Paise each then there should be a stamp of some value which on multiplying with 5 r 6 would have 8 as last digit since we dont have one ,we will have 5 stamps of 2 paise .


And the Final Solution Should be:


2 * 5+5* 5+7* 5+10 *6+15 *6+20*6=340paise =3.40Rsi.e Stamps of values 2,5,7 should be bought in multiples of 5 and others 6.
