Am I right? The number of straight lines. C is not included for it doesn't have a straight line.

Yes that's correct. It is the number of straight lines in each letter. Since there are 3 straight lines in the letter A / - \ there are three of them AAA and so on. C has no straight lines just as O and S do not.

How about other letters ?
What about G and I . I has 3 straight lines | - _ but its appearing only once ?
