hi friends.

this is pavan. i'm studying in class XII in the prestigious institution Kendriya Vidyalaya...

i wanna get into the field of software engg. i know visual basic. i have done two projects using visual basic as front end and oracle as back end

i have heard that visual basic is one of the out dated pl's. can ne1 pls help me...................... should i stick on to visual basic or switch over to some other platform?

n as i have already mentioned i wanna get into the field of software engineering. i should get into some collage next year. which stream is better to settle me life in the above mentioned stream?

Hi Pavan,

U must be in the middle of taking some entrance tests for college admission right now - hope your XIIth exams went off well.

U evidently have an inclination towards programming and you should definitely consider doing Computer Engineering. A good college with a good course should help you learn some really good languages to secure a good job after graduation.
