one of my friends also is confused whether he should go for websphere or not .what do u suggest vasu.he only knows core java

Hi,

Now a days almost every client is going for WAS + WSAD combination.
Each and every java developer has to know the above.

There are Websphere administrator positions also., in which he/she has to learn more about installation, configuring the application in WAS, etc.

So if he wants to go for Websphere Admin, then it is good.

Or as Java developer also, he can learn WAS/WSAD as one of the skill set.

Thanks for your reply. I want to learn from the scratch. So suggest what are the initial steps I have to take. How you will teach me Websphere? I am working in Hyderabad. So how the communication will be between us?
