How to do this

Is it possible to copy lines into the buffer in command mode in a UNIX operating system. If so suggest a solution for doing this.

Yes it is possible to copy lines into the buffer in command mode in a UNIX operating system. There are many editors used with UNIX operating system. With most commonly used editor namely VI Editor 15yy copies 15 lines into buffer.
