I find adding the site to trusted sites resolves the issue. Try adding the
site to trusted sites with trusted sites set to low security and see what
you get. I think it fails when trying to load some piece of code (Can't
recall exactly right now).

IE browser window closes when attempting to access Microsoft CRM

We just installed Microsoft CRM Small Business. The main means of access will
be via Internet Explorer. However, we are having issues accessing the
application from certain networks and computers.

Frequently, upon login to the application, a page appears that states
"Attempting to open Microsoft CRM. If the application does not load within a
few seconds, click HERE. If you are asked if you want to close the currently
open window, click yes." On some computers and on some networks, this page
will only appear for a second (or less) and then closes the entire browser
window - not allowing enough time to click the link to open CRM. On some
computers, CRM opens without issue and without displaying this page. On
slower networks where the screen stays open longer, clicking the link opens
CRM without a problem.

Has anyone run across this issue before? As far as we can tell, the same
browser versions and hardware configurations are on all of the machines we're
using to access the application - with very different results.

Any help troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Check for popup blockers.

Re: IE browser window closes when attempting to access Microsoft CRM

I had this same issue when trying to access crm via ip address. It was
fine when using http://<servername>:5555 though, so if you're trying to
access via ip, try using the named address or adding it to your dns
server so that you can do so.

Re: IE browser window closes when attempting to access Microsoft C

What about when I have another website up in IE and try to start CRM? The
CRM window pops up then takes over the IE window that was already open and
uses it for CRM. Is there any way to make CRM start its own instance of IE
so I don't have to start another IE and rebrowse back to the website I was
looking at?

Re: IE browser window closes when attempting to access Microsoft C

I solved my problem, all I had to do was turn off pop up blocking in ie.
