Change Organization name and use exisiting CRM DB
I did a search on this could not find it here. We need to change the
organization name and be able to re-use the data which is already in the CRM Database. Is this going to work? what are the steps? I know probably the redeployment is one way. correct? any other way? The original CRM key and org-name was MSDN and the new one is "official" Microsoft issued license with the legal company name. Thanks for any suggestions. Regards Max |

Re: Change Organization name and use exisiting CRM DB
Sounds like this is for v1.2. In that case, the Redeployment Tool is the
only way to go. There are too many ties between the DB and AD in v1.2. -- Matt Parks MVP - Microsoft CRM "MaxF." <MaxF@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:F0774E3E-DA70-42C8-9F8A-D2C00168DEC1@microsoft.com... Re: Change Organization name and use exisiting CRM DB
In v3, the license key & org names are no longer tied together. However, if
you have previously installed with one org anme and want to change that, I would still recommend the redeployment tool. -- Matt Parks MVP - Microsoft CRM "MaxF." <MaxF@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:AB9D35A4-DAB7-49A7-920A-7832630D739B@microsoft.com... Re: Change Organization name and use exisiting CRM DB
Matt,
Thank you so much, do you know where the redeployment tools for CRM 3.0 are? I did a search and could not find them.
