Maybe I don't understand you completely, but why remove the laptop client
manually? You can remove it through the control panel. Or maybe that failed.

Did you remove the COM add-in from Outlook? Tools -> Options -> Tab
"Other" -> Button "Advanced Options" -> Button "COM Add-ins"

HTH,

Re: removing the outlook crm 3.0 client manually

Thanks for the answer, and yes, You were right, This problem started when the
previous installation crashed, First, i tried to remove the client thru
control panel - > add or remove programs. I have the outlook client listed
there but if I try to remove it, it stops and I get an error. Then I tried to
remove it by deleting all files from local drive that I could find that might
have anything to do with the CRM Client and finally I removed every registry
key that I could find. I have removed the Com add-in from outlook, i´ve
re-installed the whole outlook and still it says that I have previous
installation of client in my computer. :/

Re: removing the outlook crm 3.0 client manually

Hi

Search through the registry after the incompatible version number 1.2.xxxxx
and delete the key. It should work.

Re: removing the outlook crm 3.0 client manually

If the above does not work, remove all file folder references to the
Desktop SQL client in the file directory. I vaguely recall receiving
this error and that deleting the file folders worked.

Thanks,
Donna
