CRM3.0 Local Data Settings

Challenge: Team based selling.

-- Do not want to use territories. Too intensive management and not
restrctive enough.

How to make this happen for offline data sets.
I have looked at Service Activities but it does not tie to resources.
Does tie to activity party but not sure.

Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated.

Thanks

Re: CRM3.0 Local Data Settings

Try creating workflow rules that assign an opportunity to multiple
people. The sharing mechanism of CRM will let all people that have
been assigned to an opportunity to view it. You could base it off the
original owner, e.g. That would work offline, too.

So, create a "Create" workflow rule on the opportunity.

IF <ownerID> = "Person A"
Action: Assign Person A.1
Action: Assign Person A.2

If <ownerID> = "Person B"
Action: Assign Person B.1
Action: Assign Person B.2
Action: Assign Person B.3

HTH,
