Marketing List Security
Hi all,
Here is the screnario I have: We are a publishing company and have created our first marketing list that will be used to send a promotional mailing of one of our publications. We want to allow our sales reps the ability to add customers (Accounts) to our mailing list. To do this we had to give their role, Salesperson in this case, "Read" rights to allow them to see the marketing list in the Look Up form when adding Accounts to the list. This is fine, but giving a role Read rights on Marketing Lists also gives them full rights to view the Marketing List Members. We don't want Salespersons to be able to see who all the mailing is going out to - it's basically because we don't publicly share circulation numbers and by opening a Marketing List and viewing Marketing List Members, you are able to see the Total member number. Is there any way to set up a role that allows for adding members to a Mailing List, but doesn't allow for view Marketing List Members? If not, is there anyway to progrmatically address this issue thru the SDK? Any help is appreciated. Thanks! |
