Cannot connect through wireless

Hi All,
First let me thank all of those who have contributed for this amazing site.
I wanted to become an Oracle Technical person but could not find any site that would provide me material in depth as you have provided.
Anyhow I have successfully installed Oracle apps 11.5 on my laptop (stand alone), but I have a unique issue.
When I was installing Oracle apps I was connect to internet by wire.
Now I can access both the DB and Apps when I am connected by wire, on the other hand If I am connect by means of wireless then either of them are unavailable, for DB I get the error "Lost Control" Ora: 12547 and for Apps I get the error "http 404 not found". But I remove the wire and turn off the wireless then I can access the DB but not the apps.
I started my laptop with the wire connection, logged in both DB/Apps made sure all the services are running then I removed the wire so now my laptop is connected by wireless and tried to access DB/Apps but could not.
I even tried to download the loopback network but still the issue is not resolved.
I have followed exactly as was explained. the host file and the network connection.
I will appriciate if this issue is resolved.
