ORACLE initialization or shutdown in progress
When I am starting oracle prompt oralce gives the Error
"ORACLE initialization or shutdown in progress" after this message oracle cannot start. help me. Christopher

startup force
Dear Friend,
Might be one more person is having sysoper/sysdba privs issue the shutdown command so you just please do these steps startup mount alter database open if it opens then ok else do shut abort and give command startup open it will do automatic instance recovery and start the database
