Recently I upgraded my operating system from windows xp Proffesional to XP Service Pack 3.Now when i am trying to load oracle xpress edition it gives a warning message that "insufficient physical memory".What should i do? |

try this ...
go to services and change Oracle Services from automatic to manual... reboot your PC , leave it for few mins until all other services starts , then go to services, start Oracle processes one by one ... How much memory do you have ... ? did you try increasing paging file size ? Thanks, |

I tried
The thing is oracle xpress is not even getting loaded. My system configurations are 250 mb ram with 80gb hard disk. I donno what is meant by paging file size.

FIRSTLY I THANKYOU FOR U R REPLYMR.PRAKASH.I"LL EXPLAIN MY ACTUAL PROBLEM.ORACLE GOT LOADED BEFORE WHEN MY OS IS XP.THEN I UPGRADED MY SYSTEM TO XP SERVICE PACK 3.THEN WHEN I TRIED TO LOAD EXPRESS EDITION.IT SAYS THAT U HAVE INSUFFICIENT PHYSICAL MEMEORY.BUT MY RAM SIZE IS 256MB .THEN I ONCE AGAIN SWITCHED BACK TO XP PRO.

In order to install 10g Exp edition u must increase the memory space of the
target disk to approx 4GB .Therfor install it on E:\ or D:\ drive making its space larger. After you have installed that then u can use the space of the disk. |
