Invalid staging area

i am have problem installing oracle 10g on my XP professional system, when the universal installer starts i get the following error message

"Invalid staging area. There are no top level
components for windows NT available for install
from this staging area"

any ideas please help?

Thumbs up Invalid staging area <-- oracle 10g installation error

You need to increase your system's virtual memory. Oracle 10g needs atleast 128MB of RAM and 3 times of RAM as its virtual memory. So if you have 256MB RAM then your virtual memory should be 768MB minimum for oracle 10g to install.
