Passenger train and Freight train passing on parallel tracks. Passenger takes takes twice as much time to pass the freight train when moving in same direction and also teh same time when moving in the opp direction. How much faster is the passenger train than the freight train
Could some one solve this... |

As mentioned, "Passenger takes twice as much time to pass the freight train when moving in same direction." That means the passenger train has to speed up 2x as fast as the freight train. The passenger train is slower than the freight train.
I can't figure out the second statement where you said, "also the same time when moving in the opposite direction." So I can't finalize my answer with the second statement not being taken into consideration. |

My guess is that the question is this (sorry if I misunderstand):
Passenger train and Freight train passing on parallel tracks. Passenger train takes takes twice as much time to pass the freight train when moving in same direction as it does when moving in the opp direction. How much faster is the passenger train than the freight train? |
